Jack Fork River
The Jacks Fork River is a part of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. It is a beautiful 40 mile stretch of river with lots of bluffs and caves and beautiful gravel bars to see and enjoy. The section above Alley Spring is a trophy smallmouth bass fishing area. Jam-Up cave is also above the Alley put in, locate right next to the river.
The sections from Alley Spring to the junction of the Jacks Fork and Current Rivers (called Two Rivers) are usually passable all year. Above Alley, the river is best run in spring unless one has a great deal of skill in reading water over gravel. The Prongs area is only runnable after spring rains.
